FOCUS Essential Oil Roller – Natural Support for Clarity & Presence
A botanical blend to help both horse and rider stay centred, alert and in tune.

The FOCUS Essential Oil Roller from Equidae Botanicals is a naturally aromatic blend designed to support mental clarity and emotional focus in horses and humans alike. This Flower Aromatic™ formula features a synergistic combination of May Chang, Palmarosa, Frankincense, Lavender, Lemon, and Ylang Ylang—all carefully selected to promote attention, awareness, and calm alertness.

Use it during groundwork, float training, trail preparation, or quiet time with your horse to help foster connection and presence.

🌿 Why Use FOCUS?

Horses can easily become distracted or unsettled by changes in their environment or routine. The FOCUS blend provides aromatic cues to help redirect attention, ease mental clutter, and support a calm yet engaged mindset.

Common uses include:

  • Groundwork and liberty work

  • Supporting stillness during float training or farrier visits

  • Reconnecting during grooming or post-exercise cooldown

  • Enhancing mindfulness during calm, focused interactions

💧 How to Use the FOCUS Roller

For Riders:

  • Apply a small clockwise circle to the inside of your wrists

  • Inhale deeply from your wrists or directly from the roller

  • Use before groundwork or any situation where focus is needed

For Horses:
Start by presenting the roller for inhalation. Observe your horse for signs of interest—such as sniffing, softened posture, or curiosity. If positive, continue:

Apply one small circle at any of these Endorphin Release Points:

  • Jowls (both sides)

  • Base of ears (followed by gentle brushing with the back of your hand)

  • Above the eye

  • In front of the withers

  • Poll (both sides)

  • Top of the tail dock

Important: Horses have a sensitive sense of smell—less is more. Always apply with calm intent and never force use if your horse shows signs of aversion.

NOTE:
This product contains Lavender and is not recommended for EA competition use. Always refer to governing body guidelines if competing.

How to Use

How to Use:

For Humans:

  • Apply a small, clockwise circle with the roller ball to the inside of each wrist.
  • Inhale the aroma directly from your wrists or the bottle whenever needed for clarity and calm.

For Horses:
We use Endorphin Release Points to promote relaxation and receptiveness:

  1. Begin by offering the roller near your horse’s nose for inhalation only.
Only continue if your horse shows positive interest (e.g., sniffing, relaxing, lowering the head).
  2. Apply a small clockwise circle at each point listed below, using the roller ball. Gently massage using your ring finger in the same direction.

Endorphin Release Points:

  • B. Jowls (both sides)
  • C. Brush upward over ear tips with roller, then softly with back of hand
  • D. Above the eye in circular motion
  • E. In front of the withers
  • F. Both sides of the poll in circular motion
  • G. Top of tail dock in circular motion

Move Buttons (Energetic Flow Points):

Use the back of your hand with gentle pressure to prompt movement and energy flow. Hold the halter with your opposite hand. Perform on both sides:

  1. Shoulder
  2. Rib cage
  3. Haunches or shift weight side to side

IMPORTANT:
Horses have an incredibly sensitive sense of smell. One small circle per release point is sufficient. Never force use if your horse shows signs of discomfort, such as walking away, turning their head, pinning ears, or signs of agitation or respiratory stress.
