“What can help promote healthy skin and comfort during challenging seasons?”

DERMAblend is a targeted nutritional supplement formulated for horses prone to skin sensitivity, irritation, and seasonal discomfort—especially in humid or insect-heavy environments. This unique blend helps maintain skin resilience, coat shine, and overall condition from within.

  • Skin and coat health, especially during seasonal changes

  • Horses exposed to biting insects and environmental stressors

  • Nutritional balance for horses with sensitive skin

Equine skin is made up of three layers: the epidermis; the outer & protective layer of the skin. Dermis; the middle, structural and nourishing layer, Contains collagen, elastin, blood vessels, hair follicles, sweat glands, and nerve endings, and the subcutaneous tissue which is the innermost layer of the skin.
DERMAblend was developed to nutritionally nourish and support these layers, along with hair and hoof integrity, through comprehensive internal nutrition.

FAQs

Is this safe for mares in foal?

- Yes, this formula is safe for mares in foal and lactating mares. The Silica from the Nettle will help with skin irritation.

My Horse only gets bad skin in summer, do I need to stay on this all year round to get good results?

- While it is absolutely safe to stay on all year round and is great for horses guts, skin and has a broad range of vitamins and minerals. We suggest getting off DERMAblend for the Winter months and starting back again at the beginning of spring. That way you are setting their insides and skin up for success in summer. We have also added a Mycotoxin Binder to help with sugary grasses and mould in hay.

What is the texture of this supplement?

- This one is quite mineral dense so it is quite powdery and will need a little dampening in feed so nothing gets left behind. It will stick to chaff when damp.

How long does it take to start working?

- This is a tricky question, some horses you start to see changes in their coat within 2-3 weeks, others can take up to 6-8 weeks to notice any changes, it really depends on in individual.

My dog suffers from seasonal irritation, is it safe for dogs?

- Yes it is safe for dogs, you will only need
1 tsp per 5 kgs of bodyweight. It hasn't been made for dogs so the palatability is not great but some of our customers have had success with hiding it in food.

How much Copper is in DERMAblend?

- Copper level of Dermablend is 3.5g/Kg

Updated Review

I put up a review back in May and I wanted to do another one so one’s can see that this product does work. This photo was taken 2 weeks ago and I’m pretty hair with the results! Consistency is key with this product, I now give him 1 scoop every second day, which seems to be managing it. Thank you! 😊

Short term results

I’ve had my horse on this for the last 7 weeks + using another product that goes on the skin and it has gone well. For the first 7 weeks (feeding every second for 4 weeks then everyday for 3 weeks) it went well, I then had surgery and stopped feeding for 2 weeks (as I couldn’t get out to see him) and he’d gone back to itching looked the same as before! I was very disappointed that it had gone backwards.
I going to give it another go (bought another bag) and hope that it works. If it doesn’t work again I’m not going to continue as it’s way too expensive of short term results. Pictures labelled when taken.

Hi Chelsea,
So glad you had great results! With really itchy horses we sugget staying on the loading dose until you start to see results then you can go to the maintenance dose. Our customers who get on top of the itch during the cooler months often see the best results as the supplement and its incredible in igredients are able to help the skin repair from the inside out. We definitely find consistency is the key.

Works wonders!!

I have a thoroughbred who’s previously suffered some nasty looking skin issues, since having put Super onto the DERMAblend powder a few months ago I’ve seen some truely amazing results! His coat is brighter then ever & we’re no longer battling away with the itch and skin issues that we had in previous months. This stuff truely works wonders 🙌🏻
